American Energy and Farm Groups Urge Senate to Pass Legislation that Will Strengthen Economy, Nation

Carbon Green Energy -- WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Growth Energy, joined by the American Coalition for Ethanol, the American Farm Bureau Federation, the Renewable Fuels Association, the National Corn Growers Association, National Farmers Union and National Sorghum Producers, sent a letter to all 100 U.S. Senators urging them to defeat any efforts that would damage the American ethanol industry’s growth.

The U.S. Senate is scheduled to consider a Continuing Resolution next week that includes provisions that would prevent the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency from implementing its approved waiver for E15 ethanol blends in America’s fuel supply, and prohibit construction of blender pumps and ethanol storage facilities – both measures that would deepen our addiction to foreign oil and further hurt our economy by lim

It takes more energy to make it than it delivers. The only issue here is that the farmers and the politicians want to line their personal pockets at the rest of our expenses again. What else is new? Not only does it create a need for the burning of much more fuel for the same distance travelled but it hits the consumer at the meat market and the grocery store as it increases the cost of livestock and poultry production and most production table foods. The production of ethanol is also a source of increased greenhouse gases and contamination which the industry does not truthfully disclose.

It rotted out my tank from the inside!!! Not to mention it's bad for all hoses and gaskets, lowers fuel economy (so you have to use more of that crap to go as far), it uses feed corn ment for our livestock, and it's more expensive to make it with corn than switchgrass.
