I am glad to report that more heavy Canadian crude is flowing to the Texas oil refineries and being made into gasoline and sold to Americans, today!
The Seaway oil pipeline is now bringing 400,000 bpd from Cushing OK to Texas oil refineries.
The heavy Canadian crude is replacing heavy Venezuelan crude at the gulf oil refineries,

Environmentalists urge Obama to block Keystone XL and act on climate change. Urging him to shut down ageing power plants and block a controvsial tar sands pipeline project. Sounds like he can manage to do that and cause the economy of this country even more into the ever widening hole it already is in. There's is a limit as to how much envoronmential concerns and care you can have and how much the economy needs to grow for the welfare of the population. Big Oil and Big Gas sells fuel and natural gas on the world market for higher prices. The Keystone XL pipeline is to process crude oil into fuel at the gulf coast refineries and export that fuel to countries that will pay more for it. The US will Not see cheaper fuel prices! Big Oil will build the oil pipeline, no matter what Sneeky or D.C. Says. The US ‘oil and natural gas resources’ belong to the citizens of this country and are to be used by those same citizens! These resources are Not to be exported without taking care of the domestic market first.Speculators, manipulators and the banks continue to unfairly and unjustly make the driving public pay higher prices at the pump for their personal greedy benefit. The price at the pump needs to go down to $2/gallon - *$3, *$3.50/gallon or *$4.00 is Not the new low! As more and more vehicles are converted to natural gas the price of natural gas will go up and up, natural gas will Not have a very reasonable price for very long. More Refineries are Not the answer, Stop exporting fuel is! Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, vehicle manufactures Produce and the population ‘Drives’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! XII/XXII/MMXII! - The Day After......

The thing will get built after all the right folks get their pockets lined with cash. It will be touted as one of those "jobs creation" programs.

I ask the question - When will these protestors march to the Venezuelan ships off loading the heavy Venezuelan crude oil at our Texas ports?
I guess it is political incorrect to protest Socialist Hugo Chavez's "dirty pig oil" from Venezuela but it is OK to try to hurt our friends in Canada?
BTW, Hugo fired 20,000 skilled Venezuelan oil workers and replaced them with untrained political cronies, that lead to deaths from oil refinery explosions.

So, they think that because he promised to address global warming, they get to pick how?
No. That isn't how it works.

Just say NO to the Keystone XL caustic sour oil pipeline. Just ask Mayor Bloomberg of NY city if he thinks climate warming is real and the $60 billion we the people are going to pay for the clean-up.

These environmental groups should be removed from the power grids they try to oppose and be forced to live like they preach.

and if we shut down ageing power plants and block a controversial tar sands pipeline project, then how will we have electricity, and how will we move from place to place, and move goods from farms to grocery stores?
Yes, we need to move from fossil fuels, but we can't do it over night.
Also I wish these two faced Environmentalists, would lead the way. Bike everywhere, and grow their own food, and produce their own electricity.

There can NEVER be 100% clean air OR clean water, but the simple-minded environmental terrorists in this country would have us commit economic suicide in their attempts to achieve it.

Unless they are driving EV's that are powered by the energy supplied by their own solr, wind or water generating systems and NOT by any public power genrated plant, they're hypocrits in my eyes.
They need the power - gas or oil - in order to get to all their little demonstrations/rallys. Wait, the car manufacturing plants aren't as green as these people would probably prefer as well.
Sorry, I find them selectively biased.

We need clean air and water. We also need energy, and for now that still means oil and gas. Cleaner energy is coming, but very slowly. Let's just step it up a bit, that's all I'm asking.

What good is it if only SOME countries are in favor of climate control?
I am AGAINST the proposed pipeline simply because it is all in Canada's interest. Better they should route THEIR oil across THEIR country. That way, if there is a spill, it will be THEIR problem.
We aslready have more oil than we need.

As I have said before, this oil is going to be shipped to Asia. As a result, let the Canadians build the pipeline through Canada to the Canadian west coast.

There is NO climate change. It was a hoax.
It depends on leaving out the Medieval Warming Period to get their statistics.
We have the East Anglican emails detailing the hoax.
Man is not strong enough to change the climate of the world. Someone else is in charge of that.
On top of it all, carbon dioxide is NECESSARY TO LIFE. Restricting CO2 is a good excuse to get us to one world government, limiting the earth's population, limiting the animals we can grow for food, etc.....
Why are people still falling for this hoax?

I hope Obama doesn't cozy up to these tree-huggers. There is a balance that must be struck between using the resources we have and conservation, and that balance must be for the greatest good for all.
