There might be $5 per gallon gasoline in some areas of the United States come summer.

"A 25-cent jump in gasoline prices, if sustained over a year, would cost the economy about $35 billion. That's only 0.2 percent of the total U.S. economy, but economists say it's a meaningful amount, especially at a time when growth is only so-so. The economy grew 2.8 percent in the fourth quarter, a rate considered modest following a recession."
Come on you d**n politicians, you know what the problem is -- do something about it -- and quick.

too much money from SPECULATORS inflating the commodities market. the real end users are bigger tightwads than the banks and funds.

Feels like the 70's again. NO gas lines though. No cash to spend for it.

Rising fuel & food prices = inflation. This will effect the economy.

Higher prices will run Mom & Pop busineses out of business first, then start with larger companies.

The White House might just get that 5 bucks a gallon he wanted. If he gets it, make it his going away present in November.
